I've been a professional potter for over 25 years. I started making pottery in my parent's old barn during college, and then graduated with a B.A. in Ceramics from Western Washington University in 2001. I then went on to apprentice with various potters and started teaching my wife, Natalie, when we created Cascadia Stoneware in 2006.

We specialize in making clean, practical shapes for everyday use. We throw pieces on the wheel, slip cast, press, extrude, and slab build. Jeff makes the original piece, and the molds used for reproduction. Each piece is dipped and decorated with our own unique glaze recipes and then fired to about 2400 degrees in our gas kiln. Jeff's favorite pieces to make are big wheel thrown bowls and vases. Natalie likes pullling spouts and opening the kiln!
Because we use quality, high fire clay that is part porcelain, and our own hand-mixed glaze recipes, Cascadia Stoneware is extremely durable, impervious to liquids, and resistant to chipping. Each piece is microwave, oven, dishwasher safe and lead free. We're delighted to continue the tradition of hand-made pottery and are thrilled to be making a living as a cottage industry in America.
